Kids Vote

April 22, 2008

So I asked both of the girls what they thought the baby was, boy or girl? Josie immediately says "BOY! I want a brother!" I ask her what his name should be and she has firmly decided on Ben. When I ask Natalie boy or girl, she says "Girl!" When I ask her what we should call her, she says "Sister". So for all of you that want to know what names we are thinking about, there you go!!

More to come-

SUSPENSE!

April 14, 2008

Oh, the envelope of suspense! This little envelope holds the answer to the question everyone seems to be asking......
It is on the fridge, just as we did during our pregnancy with Josie. I am sure this will drive people nuts, as I remember Nana Ing getting pretty ansty about the envelope, and she has already treatened to open it this time! (We will have to hide it from her!) I was really tempted to open the envelope today once I got home, but resisted the urge. I will wait until August. We are over half way there now! Somehow having the answer in our grasp but not knowing is easier than not having it at all. All psychological, I am sure, but it works for us (probably just me, Scott is the super mellow, "I can wait guy") Still taking your votes on if we are expecting a boy or girl, so keep the votes coming!

A foot up!

Well here is our little babe's left foot. Does it look like a boy foot or girl foot? Silliness I know.....a foot is a foot, right? It was lots of fun seeing baby's parts, all intact and miraculously perfect. heart, spine, face, hands and feet. They also gave us some 3-D photos, but they are rather creepy if you ask me, and I certainly won't post them because I cannot explain them..... I will stick with the standard pics for now.

Here.........he/she is!

Here baby is! Today was the ultrasound and the baby was really active. It is always crazy to see the baby moving on the screen, but not feel it. We did not find out what we were to expect in August, but I can tell you all I was thrilled that everything was in the correct place. I was having totally irrational fears about medical issues, so all of wonderful findings were great today. Baby is measuring 13 ozs. The girls went with us to the appointment and did a really good job (the snacks might have helped!). I know I was thinking girl lately, but after seeing this little being on the screen, I am back to thinking boy. I have a 50/50 shot of being right, right?

Spring in Minnesota

April 9, 2008

Only in Minnesota do kids play at the playground when there is still snow on the ground. Last week I got the girls to the park twice and they had a blast swingin', slidin' and screaming. Josie mastered the fireman's pole and so this is all she can talk about! Natalie secretly honed her climbing skills, so she was scaling walls, climbing this bar contraption and doing a darn good job of not falling.

Josie will look up for the camera, but somehow Natalie knows, and can't hear me?

Family Antics

April 5, 2008

I love this photo of Scott, I think he looks rather handsome myself. Josie has mastered posing for photos and Natalie, well Natalie has mastered "CHEESE" as evidenced by ALL the other photos of her on this blog!! Gotta love it.
What all started as a quick belly shot of the growing baby became a maylay of kids playing with cameras and acting goofy. So while this is not the best photo, it sure seems like we are having fun, doesn't it?
