Here's the Stats

October 24, 2008

A blurry smile, but a smile. I swear, one time I WILL CAPTURE her smile in a clear fashion!

Well Hellllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
This photo cracks me up. So i thought I would share it with all y'all-
Addison had her two month well-check today. Shots were awful. She cried about 3 hours longer than the other two did, so it was a long afternoon. (the other two cried about 4 minutes when they got shots)
Here's how the stats work out:
14 Lbs. 5 ozs (99th percentile)
24 inches (99th)
40cm head circ. (8oth)

2 Months Old

Miss Addison is 2 months old! I took her in for photos and they went pretty well! It was hard not to order uncontrolably, but reminded myself we would go in again soon!!
Addison did not love the belly shots, but I love her rolls and ruffle butt!

chop. Chop. CHOP

BEFORE

AFTER

I had pledged to myself that I would not cut my hair until I had a baby. Well, I did it, I waited, I resisted the urge to cut. Through cold weather and hot weather...I resisted. Then, when I didn't chop it off after Addison's arrival, I was harassed by those who love me (you know who you are!) Well, last weekend, I went and got myself beautified. I got 7 (YES SEVEN) inches cut off my hair! I got it cut and darkened. So, for the fall I am updated and pony tail free! I am not sure though, many people have not seemed to notice that the hair is missing. Maybe I am just meant to have short hair....

My new status, always a week behind

October 16, 2008

Seven weeks old. Addison is much more alert and enjoying the world around her. She is able to now lay on the floor and enjoy the world around her, rather than screaming as soon as I put her down. The nights are getting better too. 3 to 4 consecutive hours of sleep for both of us! She is now in her crib and we are both sleeping better I think.... Ahh...the small things in life!
Josie and Addison enjoying some cuddles in the afternoon sunshine
Two pretty little girls. Josie was having lots of fun having cuddle time with Addison without anyone intruding on them. Our 2rd little lady was quietly napping through the photo shoot. I will get photos of Natalie up soon. She is as silly ever.

Laurie Berkner Band

October 9, 2008

Well, this was a 1st for our family! We went to see the Laurie Berkner Band, and it was worth every cent! (less all of TicketMasters fees but that's a differnt story!) We went with the Ziemann's and the kids had a blast!
Addison joined us, and slept thru most of the show (love those cheeks!)
There they are!!! What a great show they put on! The kids ran, hopped, jumped, sang and wore themselves out as the band played!
Poor Natalie. She came unglued as we were walking out. When we got to the van, the girls ate their sandwiches and Natalie passed out cold!
Lot of fun we had! You should check out the new CD, Rocketship Run.

Six Weeks Old!

Miss Addison is six weeks old! The smiles are more frequent and she is still a delight. As I seem to say every week, the time is going too quickly. Maternity leave is half over, and I know the next six weeks will go even faster than the first six weeks did! We are running around so much, we don't seem to have any down time. I am going to make a big effort to hang low at home for the next few weeks so that she can have some mellow time at home too. Who wants to be running around in their car seat all the time?

Regardless, Addison is a rather happy, content baby. She is not as fussy in the evenings as she was a few weeks ago, but there is not much quiet alert time. She is either sleeping' or starvin'. Lucky for me, starvin' is something I can accommodate!

Friendship

October 8, 2008

Blessed? Lucky? Fortunate? No matter what you label it, we are all of the above! Our 3 families have been friends for just about 10 years. We have watched our lives grow from dating, to engagement, to marriage to children, to more children! Our clan has grown from 6 people to 13 people. Each year we go apple picking, and I think (not certain) that this is our 4th year of fall frolic. This year however, was the first year we got a GROUP photo (nice call Jeff!) . So here we are. An unofficial family. Another great adventure of chaos and laughter.

where have we been?

October 2, 2008

Well, I was doing such a diligent job posting, and then....caput! This last week was super busy for us, but I am getting back on track. Last week the two big girls started dance. One was super excited, and went RUNNING to participate, the other, not so much. Can you guess from the photos who was who???
My grandparents also came up to Minnesota from Chicago to visit and meet Miss Addison. We return to dance class again tonight, so hopefully, we will have some more photos. I am also hoping to get some photos of Addison (and the girls) with Great PopPop, as we have not had the chance yet. Hopefully more to come soon. Stay tuned!
