summer summer summer

November 6, 2009

1st family vacation. We rented a cabin in Park Rapids and both my mom and Scott's parents came along. The Petron's joined us for a couple days. the kids had a great time fishing with Papa on the dock...rain or shine!
At the beach in Maple Grove
Natalie loved to swim in the pool. She freaks out whenever you let go of her, but she loves to be in the water. By the end of the week, she was much more comfortable. Papa Ing to the girls to the pool many times.
Snotty, crabby, but, leaving the sun hat on! Addison did not enjoy our family vacation. She was quite a pill and left both Scott and I sleep deprived for the entire week. Hopefully things will go better next year....

Summer. In a nutshell

Summer recapped. This is Natalie by a peony from the garden. Natalie is our nature girl. Loving all things flower/tree/nature/dirt. She inspired me to finally cut flowers from my garden to bring into the house to enjoy!

Happy 6th birthday Josie. Here she is with Kit & her purse cake.
Kindergarten graduation day. She did just fine until they sang "A tooty ta" then it was a sad, sad day. Besides that, she did good. She asked me to bring her Kit doll with to show her friends. She had a special love for her teacher, so she was sad to say goodbye. Nana, Papa & Nana Tess came down for graduation too!

It's Me. Really

A much overdue post. It seems that the last time I posted was March. Yep, 8 months ago. I am not sure where the time has gone, but I have decided to climb out from under the rocks and get posting. This is the day Josie and I went to the Mall of America to pick-up her Kit doll. She had being pining over getting an American Girl doll for 2 years, so we took the plunge for her birthday. To say the very least, it was a magical day for the 2 of us to spend together!
After much deliberation, Josie chose a Kit doll. She was unsure who she would want to bring home. We walked through the entire store, and she looked at each doll. She decided on Kit and didn't look back.
We had Kit out of the box before we left the store. We took her to lunch at Rainforest Cafe, and many people asked about her and if she was new. Josie had a blast "eating" with her and telling her all about the fish tanks we were sitting next to. A day neither of us will forget!!!
