A day at the Pumpkin Patch

October 15, 2007

Scott was there too! He was doing most of the picture taking. However, Josie took this photo of the two of us together! W were both surprised it worked!
Josie with HER wagon. There was NO SHARING of wagons. Two independent girls!
Natalie & HER wagon of pumpkins
We finally made the time to get to the pumpkin patch! There is a family farm in Andover that we have visited for the last two years. They have animals, pumpkins and hay rides. The girls picked out their pumpkins and we visited the cows, llamas, pigs, roosters, sheep and ponies. The girls had a lot of fun checking out the animals. The burros ended up following me around when I was carrying my corn stalks. It was pretty funny. It started to rain just as we were leaving.

I must say, almost impossible to get them both to look & smile at the same time!

Growing Growing Growing

A long overdue update to the blog! Here's Miss Natalie being a goofy girl one day. Scott snapped some photos of her trying to sit/contort herself on the bottom of the chair. She is so much fun, but is definitely TWO! She is enjoying singing and trying her ABC's.

A nice break

Dad & his Big Girl taking a stroll together.
"What you say?" (exact quote)
Campfire girl. I think Natalie is ready for a night in the great outdoors!
Hanging out and talking garbage trucks with Big Cousin Jake

They were all dancing together to Kodachrome when I took this photo. It is a favorite old song of mine and now Josie requests it whenever we get into the car. The Petrons also love the song and had it so the kids all did their own version of booty & body shaking when it came on! We had a fun day playing together!

The Great Minnesota Get-together

I love ice cream! Natalie is our sweets eater. Josie enjoys 2 bites (maybe) of dessert, but Natalie loves treats! She did a great job eating her ice cream in the muggy, rainy weather! Yummy!
The Tilt-O-Whirl. A favorite! Josie loves it as much as I do, and this was Natalie's first time riding with us! She was not full of smiles but exclaimed "That FUN!" When she was finished. We did lots of twirling and laughing!
Daddy & Daddy's girl! When you ask Natalie, she says "I daddy girl!" We were all standing in the rain watching Josie speed around on the little coster at the fair!
Twirling Hot Air Balloons. So much fun!
Josie was so excited for the carousel! She has been asking about since last fall (I think she started asking the day after the fair?) Needless to say, she was excited to take her ride on the horses.
Natalie did much better on the carousel this year. While she held onto me for dear life last year, this year she say by herself on a horse and giggled her way through the ride. We had a good time this year, despite the rain. The girls also seemed to have fun. We decided to call it a day when we were all dripping wet and freezing.

Josie's room gets a extreme makeover!

Here you can see a bit of the painting and flowers. I painted her room a few weeks ago. We changed from white with a picket fence and butterflies to teal & purple with flowers. She loves her new paint and did a little painting herself! Bed one of two is assembled and she is very excited!
OOHH!! So excited. She is helping/supervising me as I assemble the beds. I am not sure if she is more excited about the beds, or being able to skip naptime?
Making progress. Two beds in place! I got them assembled and Denise came over to help with the heavy lifting! We got them situated and ready to go!
Oh my! A happy girl atop her perch! She is so excited to have her bunk beds! She has been waiting a very long time to have her beds! She is loving being up so high! After Natalie woke up from nap, the two of them played on, under, and around the bunks for an hour! So much fun!

Science is FUN!

Your mail with a smile. Josie put on the postal worker costume and mail bag and was set to go delivering mail to all the businesses. This is the first time she has tried on the costumes. She did not want to leave!
Natalie is busily cooking in the restaurant at the museum. She was putting food in the fridge, mixing things together in the bowls and putting dishes in the sink. So much fun!
BEEP! BEEP!! Coming through! Natalie thought the MTC bus was pretty fun too! While she cannot see where she is going, she was sure to tell me to sit down in the back for my ride!
Hayden and Josie being silly with the turtle shell.
The batteries on the camera quickly died! Erica was with us too, but I have no photos of her. Bad me. I will be better prepared next time!!!

Dino- Mite!

The girls thought this dinosaur outside the Children's Museum was pretty great. He is covered in pennies so they were very interested in playing with them. I have decided it is almost impossible to get a photo of the two of them both looking at the camera! This is the best I could get, both smiling, looking away. We had a lot of fun running around the museum today with Hayden & Erica. Josie and Hayden were two peas in a pod, holding hands, screaming, and exploring. Natalie and Erica were just quiet, independent explorers! We had lots of fun!
